Tell us a little about yourself…
I was born in Auburn, Nebraska and raised in Phoenix, Az. I have a Culinary Arts Certification and also has a Yoga Certification. I’m proud of being a parent and also run my own catering business on the side.
You’re dining at Café Zuzu…what are you eating?
Starter: Roasted Tomato and Goat Cheese Casserole. (baked in an iron pot with Spinach, red peppers, kalamata olives + toasted baguette)
Entrée: from the lunch menu: Roasted Spaghetti Squash (with braised greens, tomatoes, toasted pine nuts + Parmesan crust) I like it because it is seasonal, different and guests are pleasantly surprised.
Drink: 10 Cane Mojito or the Moscow Mule served in a special cup.
Dessert: Chocolate Lava Cake
What do you enjoy outside of work?
I enjoy dancing, hiking, running and roller skating while spending time with my two boys.
How long have you been part of the team at Café Zuzu?
I have worked at Café ZuZu for 4 years. I started as a server, then was promoted to lead server and now is a supervisor on duty while still serving.
Tell us about your start in the restaurant industry?
I was interested in the food industry from an early age. In high school I would organize dinner parties at my house and invite my friends over. I think feeding people is really rewarding. I love my co-workers, the revolving guests from the hotel Valley Ho. I never have the same day twice!
