The success of the Passport Dining program is dependent upon the tireless efforts of hardworking restaurant servers and staff members, who dedicate themselves to making your dining experience exceptional. We would like to take this opportunity to recognize one of our valued service partners, Amanda Nugent of Cafe Zuzu in Scottdale, Arizona. If you have a server you would like to recognize for their outstanding performance, we would love to hear about it. Please contact us at (800) 535-8502 or email@example.com and share your experience!
Tell us a little about yourself…
I was born in Auburn, Nebraska and raised in Phoenix, Az. I have a Culinary Arts Certification and also has a Yoga Certification. I’m proud of being a parent and also run my own catering business on the side.
You’re dining at Café Zuzu…what are you eating?
Starter: Roasted Tomato and Goat Cheese Casserole. (baked in an iron pot with Spinach, red peppers, kalamata olives + toasted baguette)
Entrée: from the lunch menu: Roasted Spaghetti Squash (with braised greens, tomatoes, toasted pine nuts + Parmesan crust) I like it because it is seasonal, different and guests are pleasantly surprised.
Drink: 10 Cane Mojito or the Moscow Mule served in a special cup.
Dessert: Chocolate Lava Cake
What do you enjoy outside of work?
I enjoy dancing, hiking, running and roller skating while spending time with my two boys.
How long have you been part of the team at Café Zuzu?
I have worked at Café ZuZu for 4 years. I started as a server, then was promoted to lead server and now is a supervisor on duty while still serving.
Tell us about your start in the restaurant industry?
I was interested in the food industry from an early age. In high school I would organize dinner parties at my house and invite my friends over. I think feeding people is really rewarding. I love my co-workers, the revolving guests from the hotel Valley Ho. I never have the same day twice!
